The university-level Certificate in Islamic Sciences offers a variety of courses taught by eminent professors recognised for their teaching expertise. Spread over 3 years for 150 credits, assessment consists of case studies and a dissertation presented before a panel of experts.

Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm, as well as every other Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. They are streamed live online and available on replay. For certain classes, it is possible to attend in person at the premises in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean.
Yes, all classes are recorded. As an enrolled student, you access the replays via the salam.gurucan.com platform (link in the Student Area). Access is valid for the entire duration of the programme.
The tuition is €650 per academic year, payable in 2, 3 or 4 instalments. A minimum deposit of €200 is required at enrolment (account BE60 3631 9798 0070, BIC BBRUBEBB, in the name of Al Mihrab ASBL). Scholarships are available on application.
Yes. Students living in France, Switzerland, Senegal or anywhere in the French-speaking world can follow the entire programme remotely. The dissertation defence can be held remotely for students living outside Belgium.
Exams are oral and take place online. No travel to Brussels is required for students following the programme remotely.
Yes. Classes take place in the evening (6 pm–9 pm) and every other Saturday (10 am–2 pm), designed to fit around working life. The replays allow you to catch up on missed sessions. Spreading the programme over a longer period can be considered according to your needs.
Four conditions: (1) being at least 18 years old, (2) a good command of French (the language of instruction), (3) being comfortable with digital tools (Zoom for live classes, the Gurucan platform for replays), (4) a secondary-school level or equivalent. Command of Arabic is not required — classes include a progressive introduction to Qur'anic Arabic. A meeting with the pedagogical coordination allows us to assess your project.
